WVU grad celebrates mom’s legacy with $200K School of Nursing scholarship gift

Jason G. Cooper, a West Virginia University alumnus, established the Julia Nell Cooper Memorial Nursing Scholarship in memory of his mother, who worked as a nurse for more than 30 years. The scholarship goes to West Virginia students pursuing a bachelor’s degree in nursing who have demonstrated financial need.

WVU robotics team wins international Mars rover challenge

Statler College of Engineering and Mineral Resources, topped dozens of other teams from 10 countries in a competition to design and build the next generation of Mars rovers during the 2023 University Rover Challenge in Hanksville, Utah.
