WVU offers resources, reminds campus community of procedures as temperatures dip

West Virginia will see bitterly cold weather in the next couple of days. Temperatures will dip to single digits with negative wind chill factors predicted in some areas. West Virginia University officials urge students, faculty and staff to be prepared to avoid the dangers of frostbite and hypothermia. These conditions can occur in a matter of minutes.

From spotlight to searchlight, WVU relights Up All Night

A large searchlight strategically placed in front of the Mountainlair each Friday and Saturday night draws attention to a re-energized WVUp All Night, West Virginia University’s alcohol-free weekend program, where students can watch movies, create a craft and win money.

WVU plans Friday bell-ringing ceremony

West Virginia University will hold a bell-ringing ceremony, coordinated by the Office of Campus and Community Life and Alpha Phi Omega, a national service fraternity, on Friday (Jan. 25) in remembrance of students Alexander Gray and Austin Cole Stratton.

WVU announces fall 2018 graduation honors, President's and Dean's lists

West Virginia University has released its graduation honors for the fall 2018 semester. A total of 1,438 students graduated from the University in December. A total of 3,730 students were named to the Dean’s list for fall 2018. Those on the Dean’s list received a 3.5 GPA or higher. A total of 2,296 students were named to the President’s list after receiving a perfect 4.0 grade point average.

Three agree to leave West Virginia University after conduct investigation

Three West Virginia University students have agreed to permanent separation from the University as a result of an extensive investigation into the circumstances surrounding the fall of a student and its aftermath at the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity house in November.
