Two selected in NWSL College Draft

For the first time in program history, two members of the women's soccer program were selected in the National Women's Soccer League College Draft, as Michaela Abam and Amandine Pierre-Louis were drafted with the No. 4 and No. 6 overall picks by Sky Blue FC.

Football announces change in future schedule

West Virginia University Director of Athletics Shane Lyons and Pitt Director of Athletics Heather Lyke have announced the "Backyard Brawl" football game in 2022 at Heinz Field will be moved to Sept. 3 and will be the season opener for both schools.

Coach Bob Huggins' Mountaineers jumped four spots from No. 6 last week to No. 2 this week in the latest Associated Press Top 25 rankings, revealed earlier today (Jan. 8). It's the highest ranking for West Virginia since Dec. 29, 1959 - Jerry West's senior season.

Utah overpowers WVU in Heart of Dallas Bowl

West Virginia's offense, without several key playmakers including starting quarterback Will Grier, played in a fog thicker than Tuesday's (Dec. 26) Dallas weather that enveloped the Cotton Bowl, and the Mountaineers fell to Utah, 30-14.

Football Signing Day starts Wednesday

The first football early signing period takes place Wednesday (Dec. 20), and WVUsports.com will once again have all of the signings. All signings will be officially announced via twitter (@wvufootball) before being posted to the website.

Donors contribute $100K to WVU Foundation’s 2017 Pride Travel Fund

More than 800 donors contributed over $100,000 to the West Virginia University’s Pride Travel Fund this fall in support of the Mountaineer Marching Band. The annual campaign was established to help defray the costs of travel for the band, including transportation, hotels and food for the more than 350 members and staff.
