WVU Alumni Association welcomes new members to board of directors

The West Virginia University Alumni Association has announce the addition of five people to its board of directors: Sharon Flanery, Bill Gray, Marilyn McClure-Demers, Zach Mendelson and Darin Rogers will offer their time and experience to the Association beginning Friday (June 5).

WVU to hold online commencement ceremonies Saturday

While West Virginia University’s 4,500-member Class of 2020 will graduate in various states and countries instead of Morgantown and in one ceremony instead of more than a dozen, graduates will be connected to each other and to Mountaineers around the world in WVU’s first virtual commencement ceremony.

WVU appoints Morris, Watson as deans through 2022

Tracy Morris, who has served as interim dean of the College of Education and Human Services since 2018, will serve as dean of the college for a two-year term, effective July 1. Jack Watson, who has served as interim dean of the College of Physical Activity and Sport Sciences since 2019, has been named dean of the college for a two-year term, also effective July 1.

WVU seeks to build Pride of West Virginia Practice Facility

An institution at West Virginia University for more than 100 years, the Mountaineer Marching Band will one day have a home of its own. WVU and dedicated alumni are working together to pursue a practice facility for the 330-member West Virginia University Mountaineer Marching Band.
