WVU robotics team wins international Mars rover challenge

The West Virginia University robotics team, based at the Benjamin M. Statler College of Engineering and Mineral Resources, topped dozens of other teams from 10 countries in a competition to design and build the next generation of Mars rovers during the 2023 University Rover Challenge in Hanksville, Utah.

Two WVU students awarded Critical Language Scholarship

Ariana Burks and Matthew Kinzer, both West Virginia natives, will spend two months learning Arabic and Japanese, respectively, while traveling abroad this summer as West Virginia University recipients of the U.S. Department of State Critical Language Scholarship.
