WVU to continue normal operations today, students and employees urged to use caution during inclement weather

Several University officials have consulted on the condition of campus roads and grounds as well as conditions in the vicinity. While roads and sidewalks may have been plowed and treated, they will remain icy in spots. Be sure to drive slow, allow extra time and use caution. Students and employees are reminded to use their own good judgment before venturing out.

WVU reminds campus community of winter weather procedures as new semester begins

West Virginia University’s spring semester starts Jan. 8, calling for a reminder about how the University responds when harsh winter weather occurs. Should conditions occur making travel potentially dangerous, both students and employees are reminded to use their own good judgment before venturing out.

‘The engine of innovation is change,’ WVU’s December graduates told

The weather outside wasn’t quite frightful, but it was delightful inside the West Virginia University Coliseum Friday (Dec. 15) as the largest December graduating class in the University’s 150 years received diplomas amid cheers, shrill whistles and honking horns from their friends and families.

West Virginia University, a leader in technology and economic development around gas utilization, today announced that WVU’s Center for Innovation in Gas Research and Utilization will showcase its achievements at an open house on Tues., Dec. 12, from 4:30 - 7:30 p.m., at the Erickson Alumni Center.
