WVU emissions researchers help address automotive industry and regulatory challenges on clean-diesel issues

Researchers at West Virginia University have long studied emissions from diesel vehicles to provide independent data about emissions performance both in the laboratory and on the road, as well as provide technology demonstration, other research and design support. The most recent study from WVU’s Center for Alternative Fuels, Engines and Emissions measured oxides of nitrogen emissions, or NOx, from five Fiat Chrysler vehicles in real-world and laboratory tests.

Davis, Cramer selected in MLB Draft

West Virginia University junior left fielder Kyle Davis was drafted by the Houston Astros and senior first baseman Jackson Cramer was drafted by the Washington Nationals on the final day of the 2017 Major League Baseball Draft.

West Virginia native, WVU alumnus establishes scholarship for business school students

Dr. Robert L. Totterdale characterizes himself as a lifelong learner, and established an endowment in his mother’s name in the academic area that represents the second segment of his life’s education. As a result, the Dorothy F. Totterdale Scholarship will be offered at the West Virginia University College of Business and Economics to foster that desire to learn in management information systems students.

Late alumnus leaves $250K to benefit WVU students

Writing, literature and poetry students at West Virginia University will benefit from a gift from late alumnus and West Virginia native Russell L. Isaacs. Isaacs, who died in April, left $252,000 in his estate to the WVU Foundation to provide scholarships to students in the Eberly College of Arts and Sciences.

Five years of Big 12 football

Overall, after five seasons in the Big 12, West Virginia shows a 22-23 record against the rest of the conference; the Mountaineers are 12-11 at home and 10-12 on the road.
