Football Fan Day set for Sunday, August 13

Mountaineer fans will be given the opportunity to get autographs from their favorite WVU coaches and players at the WVU football team’s annual Fan Day on Sunday, August 13, at 1 p.m., in the Caperton Indoor Practice Facility. Coach Dana Holgorsen, assistant coaches and WVU players will be signing autographs and visiting with fans from 1 - 3 p.m. Gates will open at 12:45 p.m.

Holgorsen to appear in ESPN special

West Virginia University football coach Dana Holgorsen will appear on ESPN’s annual college football coaches’ “Car Wash”, on Friday, July 21 – in which guests appear across multiple programs and platforms over one day. Holgorsen will join the Big 12 coaches from Baylor, Kansas State, Oklahoma State and Texas at ESPN’s Bristol, Conn., headquarters.

‘Finish line’ in sight for inaugural class of data analytics grad students at WVU business school

A year ago, students from across the country and various walks of life took a leap into the new, online Business Data Analytics graduate program at the West Virginia University College of Business and Economics. After completing their final on-campus residency, and much course work over the past 12 months, these students will cross the finish line August 4 with a Master of Science in Business Data Analytics degree.

WVU initiatives receive $500K in grants from Benedum Foundation

The Claude Worthington Benedum Foundation recently awarded five grants to West Virginia University, through the WVU Foundation, totaling $540,000. The grants will benefit various programs and initiatives at WVU and across the state.

WVU to host inaugural Summer Youth Business Camp

The College of Business and Economics will host 20 West Virginia high school sophomores, juniors and seniors at the first Summer Youth Business Camp July 24-28, a collaboration between B&E and WVU’s Extension Service 4-H unit. Camp participants will reside in WVU dorms and ultimately make business presentations to local business leaders.
