WVU bringing hands-on learning opportunities to the Capitol for students, families, alumni

Students, families, 4-H’ers and alumni are invited to learn more about the exciting programs and engage in hands-on activities during the 2020 WVU Day at the Legislature. The free event, hosted by WVU and WVU Extension Service, is open to the public and will take place at the Capitol in Charleston on Jan. 21, 2020, from 9 a.m. to noon.

WVU has strong financial performance in FY ’19

West Virginia University ended the fiscal year with a strong financial performance, Paula Congelio, vice president of finance and chief financial officer, said Friday (Nov. 8).

Additional 'floating' holiday available for WVU leave-eligible employees

Gov. Jim Justice today (July 3) issued executive orders declaring July 5, 2019 as an official holiday for State employees. The University has modified its holiday calendar to include an additional 7.5-hour “floating” holiday (pro-rated by FTE) for leave-eligible employees, effective July 5, 2019. WVU will operate on a normal schedule, including classes, Friday, July 5.
