No. 1 Mountaineers claim GARC crown

For the fifth straight season and the 11th time in program history, the West Virginia University rifle team is the Great America Rifle Conference regular-season champion, as the top-ranked Mountaineers claimed the 2018 crown with a 4720-4693 victory over No. 3 Kentucky this afternoon at the Bill McKenzie Rifle Range.

Four finalists to compete Monday in Mountaineer Mascot Cheer-off

Four finalists will don the buckskins and carry the musket Monday (Feb. 12) in competition to be the next West Virginia University Mountaineer Mascot. The cheer-off will be held during the men's basketball game vs. Texas Christian University at 9 p.m. in the WVU Coliseum.

John Campo and Rhonda Campo join WVU Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute

WVU Medicine announced Tuesday (Feb. 6) that John V. Campo, M.D., a nationally recognized child and adolescent psychiatrist, and Rhonda S. Campo, M.B.A., a seasoned healthcare and biotech professional, will join the WVU Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute this spring.

Three invited to NFL Combine

Three football players have been invited to this year's NFL Scouting Combine, taking place Feb. 27 through March 5 in Indianapolis. They are running back Justin Crawford, wide receiver Ka'Raun White and safety Kyzir White.
