For a second consecutive year, the West Virginia University student body will be led by Colin Street and Rozaireo Jones as Student Government Association president and vice president, respectively. The election campaign ended Thursday (March 5) as the SGA Judicial Court certified results for the 2026-27 academic year.

Aspiring leaders with an affinity for West Virginia may be eligible for the Hazel Ruby McQuain Graduate Scholarship, named for the difference-maker and philanthropist whose generosity has made a lasting impression in the Mountain State. Applications are due March 15.

Despite never attending West Virginia University, Monongalia County native Margaret Frances Verbonic Hodges is empowering future students through an estate gift establishing the Michael Verbonic, Jr. Memorial Scholarship in memory of her brother, a WVU graduate. The endowed scholarship will provide unrestricted support for a student.
