WVU alumna providing care for World Wrestling Entertainment superstars

Nicole Faso is the only female athletic trainer on the road with World Wrestling Entertainment. The job requires her to travel globally, providing vital medical care to performers at major televised events like WWE SmackDown, 52 weeks of the year. Faso credits experience in the West Virginia University School of Medicine Athletic Training program with preparing her to thrive in the fast-paced, travel-intensive environment.

WVU doctoral student making teaching dreams come true with online program

Originally from Greensboro, North Carolina, Christy Knight currently resides in Stokesdale, North Carolina, close to her three sons who are now grown. With more time on her hands, she was open to new opportunities, and found that her passion for accounting and a dream to teach the subject was possible thanks to the West Virginia University John Chambers College of Business and Economics fully online Doctorate of Business Administration Program.

Graduating WVU medical students prepare for next chapter of training

Medical students graduating from West Virginia University will go to 24 states and Washington, D.C., for their residency placements. West Virginia will retain 48% of the class. The placement announcements were made as part of the University’s Match Day celebration.

Internships help WVU sport management student land job with NFL team

Makayla Riley’s passion for sports, and willingness to pursue internships and seek out opportunities that delivered practical experience while studying sport management in the West Virginia University College of Applied Human Sciences, helped her get her foot in the door with the Washington Commanders.

WVU pre-nursing student training for bodybuilding competition

Annabella Cerasoli is a second-year student at West Virginia University who you can find at the Student Recreation Center on the Evansdale Campus six days a week. A psychology major on the pre-nursing track, Cerasoli is currently training to compete in bodybuilding and said she believes the facilities can play a big part in the physical and mental well-being of WVU students.

WVU neuroscience students pioneer new frontiers in undergraduate research

Jayla Boyd and Lillian Floyd were in uncharted territory when they arrived at West Virginia University for Brain Camp the summer before their senior year of high school. Now, both students are enrolled as freshmen in the University's neuroscience program and are conducting research in the WVU School of Medicine.
