‘Most Loyals’ chosen for Mountaineer Week at WVU

A Morgantown couple who has given back to the University, a successful alumnus engineer, an internationally-known professor, a dedicated residence life employee, and a late director of the Mountainlair are being honored as “Most Loyals” during the 71st Mountaineer Week, a celebration of Appalachian Heritage, Oct. 19-28, on West Virginia University’s campus.

WVU to host National Portfolio Day

High school students interested in a career in the art industry can gain feedback and insight from universities and colleges from around the region when West Virginia University plays host to National Portfolio Day on Oct. 28.

Summersville native Sara Bright to exhibit artwork, speak at WVU

Los Angeles-based artist Sara Bright will bring artwork to her home state for the first time with an exhibition and Visiting Artist Lecture at West Virginia University. The lecture will be in the Davis Theatre on opening night, Oct. 11 at 5 p.m. Source is hosted by the Mesaros Galleries in WVU’s School of Art and Design and the exhibition will run through Nov. 9.

WVU Student Life Hall of Fame to induct five new members

A former student leader with 40 years of industry experience and his philanthropist wife, along with a long-time food service employee, an administrator dedicated to international education, and a devoted financial aid administrator with 33 years of service will be honored for their outstanding contributions to West Virginia University.
