The West Virginia University Board of Governors voted unanimously Monday (July 31) to extend President Gordon Gee’s contract one year through June 30, 2025. The decision came after Board members reviewed Gee’s performance — as mandated by state code — in areas such as student success, research, health and welfare, and the University's role in the state’s economic development.

WVU Alumni Association Board of Directors welcomes new members

A West Virginia University alumnus and a current student are joining the WVU Alumni Association Board of Directors. Michael Bell of Denver will serve a six-year term and student member Brogan Dozier from Charles Town will serve a one-year term, following their selection during the Alumni Association’s recent annual business meeting.
