Three WVU graduating seniors receive Fulbright Scholarships to study abroad

Three members of the West Virginia University class of 2017 will take on teaching and research opportunities starting this fall as recipients of the 2017 Fulbright Scholarship. The students will study abroad, serving as representatives of the University while supporting the Fulbright Scholars’ mission of promoting international good will.

National Institute on Aging awards WVU nearly $1.4 million to support a stroke research training program

West Virginia University is committed to training a new generation of health care providers and scholars and recently received support from the National Institute on Aging to expand a pre-doctoral training program in stroke research. WVU’s Center for Basic and Translational Stroke Research received a grant award from the National Institute on Aging for total of nearly $1.4 million over five years.

Benedum Foundation’s latest grants continue support to WVU

The Claude Worthington Benedum Foundation recently awarded three grants to West Virginia University through the WVU Foundation totaling $304,300. These grants will benefit various programs, initiatives, and individuals at WVU.
