WVU plans bell-ringing ceremony to remember student

A bell-ringing ceremony to honor the memory of a WVU student is planned for Friday (March 28) at Oglebay Plaza in Morgantown. (WVU Photo)

West Virginia University will hold a bell-ringing ceremony, coordinated by the Office of Campus and Community Life and Alpha Phi Omega, a national service fraternity, on Friday (March 28) in remembrance of Daniel Tripp.

Tripp, a sophomore civil engineering major from Williamsport, Pennsylvania, died on Nov. 28, 2024. 

The service will begin at noon at Oglebay Plaza.

Those interested in attending are asked to gather near the bell of the USS West Virginia at least 15 minutes prior to the ceremony. Family, friends and members of the University community are welcome to attend.
