Alongside hundreds of graduates, West Virginia University will present two outstanding alumni and an educator with Presidential Honorary Degrees while also recognizing two leading faculty members during Commencement ceremonies, Saturday, Dec. 21, at the Coliseum.
The West Virginia University Foundation is celebrating 70 years of private philanthropy to benefit the University and its land-grant mission including a record-breaking 2024 fiscal year that saw more than $282 million in gifts and pledges, a more than $12 million increase over the previous record set in 2021.
A “winding road” led Molly Aderholt, who was born and raised in Billings, Montana, and moved to the Washington, D.C area as a teenager, to her husband’s native state of West Virginia in 2000 to attend the West Virginia University College of Law.
