Mitchell and Quarrick named WVU Homecoming Royalty, Alumni awards presented

A celebration of past moments and the creation of new Homecoming memories culminated at West Virginia University Saturday (Oct. 21) with the crowning of Romeo Mitchell Jr. and Olivia Quarrick as the 2023 Homecoming Royalty during halftime at the football game against Oklahoma State University.

WVU joins BRAIN Center to advance technology for neurological disorders

West Virginia University plans to offer a novel physician-engineer program that will include training in clinical and technical leadership in preparation for the emerging field of neural engineering as part of a consortium of other universities to help improve the care and rehabilitation of people with neurological disorders.

Don Nehlen to be immortalized in Milan Puskar Stadium

The West Virginia University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics will immortalize legendary Hall of Fame football coach Don Nehlen in Milan Puskar Stadium during the Cincinnati game on Saturday, Nov. 18, by adding his name to the all-time greats on the Diversified Energy Terrace. Nehlen guided his WVU teams to 13 bowl game appearances, 17 winning seasons and the 1993 Big East Conference title, and his 1988 and 1993 squads finished the regular seasons with undefeated records.

WVU issues Campus Warning after reported burglary

West Virginia University Police issued the Campus Warning following a reported burglary at College Park on Monday (Oct. 16). The incident happened at one of the College Park apartment locations that has an open airway stairwell, leading directly to individual exterior apartment doors. The victim, a University student, reported leaving the front door of the exterior apartment unlocked.
