A successful and creative relationship builder with extensive leadership experience will direct the West Virginia University Alumni Association as it ushers in an exciting new era.
Kevin Berry will develop strategic action plans that emphasize alumni engagement, programming, membership, fundraising and communication in his new role as vice president for Alumni Relations and CEO of the Alumni Association. Berry most recently served as the Association’s associate director.
“Kevin’s professional reputation and passion for WVU are invaluable tools as we work to further enhance the lifelong Mountaineer experience creating meaningful pathways for our alumni to connect with and serve the University they love,” said Sharon Martin, vice president of University Engagement and Chief Marketing Officer.
Berry, a two-time WVU graduate who has spent more than 25 years serving the University in a variety of ways, will report to Martin under a new strategic alumni engagement partnership announced in October 2021.
“I am excited for this next chapter of our University’s storied history,” WVU Alumni Association Board of Directors Chair Todd Mount said. “Our Alumni Association, more than 140 years strong, and our alumni located around the world, are a testament to the talent, love, dedication and determination Mountaineers are known for. Kevin understands and embodies these qualities which will continue to shape West Virginia University’s bright future.”
Berry’s new role as vice president for Alumni Relations and CEO of the Alumni Association went into effect Jan. 3.
