Monday Night Lights for freshmen and first-year students at West Virginia University will now take place on Sunday (Aug. 22) at Mountaineer Field in Milan Puskar Stadium. Inclement weather on Monday forced the rescheduling.

Students living on the Downtown area of campus can arrive at Parking Lot 5 (near the Business & Economics building) to depart to the stadium via buses on Sunday, Aug. 22 at 6:30 p.m. The last bus will leave at 7:30 p.m. Students living on the Evansdale area of campus will walk to the stadium via Oakland Street and/or Harding Avenue with help from their RA.

Students enter via the southwest (home team) tunnel. That entrance opens at 6:30 p.m. for on-field festivities. All students attending are asked to arrive by 7:30 p.m.

A pre-show live stream will begin at 7:15 p.m. and continue as the main Monday Night Lights event begins at 8 p.m.

Tune in to watch the Monday Night Lights live stream.

Meanwhile, the WVU Refresh Foodfest and Celebration events from 3-9 p.m. today at the Student Rec Center and tomorrow at the Erickson Alumni Center (Aug. 17-18) and Thursday between the Life Sciences and Business and Economics buildings (Aug. 19) from noon to 7 p.m. are canceled due to anticipated inclement weather over the next few days.

Look for pop-up events across campus during these times and dates instead.

Visit the 2021 Welcome Week website for the full schedule of events.
