UPDATE: Two suspects arrested after off-campus Morgantown shooting resulting in one injury

UPDATE, March 1 at 10 a.m.:

The victim in the Feb. 29 off-campus shooting incident has been identified as a WVU student.

UPDATE, Feb. 29 at 9:40 a.m.:

Morgantown Police have arrested two suspects, 29-year-old Edward Kolleh and 20-year-old Ethan Horseman in connection to an off-campus shooting incident in the early morning hours of Feb. 29 that left one person injured. The extent of those injuries is unknown at this time.

Kolleh was charged with conspiracy to commit robbery and robbery.

Horseman was charged with conspiracy to commit robbery, robbery and unlawful wounding.

Both are pending arraignment according to a Saturday morning news release from the Morgantown Police Department.

One person was injured in an off-campus shooting incident Saturday, Feb. 29. The victim’s condition is unavailable at this time.

West Virginia University Police issued a WVU Alert shortly after 1:30 a.m. after gun shots were reported off-campus at or near the 900 block of College Avenue. An ALL-CLEAR was issued an hour later stating it was safe to resume normal activities as officers continue their investigation.

The Morgantown Police Department is the lead investigating agency, and University Police is assisting.

Anyone with information regarding the incident should call the Morgantown Police Department at 304-284-7522.

WVU will continue to provide updates as it receives new information from Morgantown Police.

University officials also reminded students to always remain aware of their surroundings, walk in well-lit areas and consider other personal safety tips, advice and services located at safety.wvu.edu.
