A new program in the West Virginia University School of Music will allow K-12 students to learn about music through live performance, all free of charge. The series of weekday matinee performances is open to all grades and ages from public schools, private schools and homeschool groups. The performances provide an opportunity to enhance school curriculum and expose students to the arts.

A $20,000 commitment, the scholarship will be awarded to a student who chooses to further his or her education on the West Virginia University Health Sciences Charleston Campus, with preference given to those from West Virginia and/or Roane County and who have an interest in internal medicine and/or psychiatry.
