West Virginia University has been nationally recognized as one of 65 employers – and the only higher education institution — to receive the 2019 North American Candidate Experience award. This is the second time WVU has received this honor.

“At West Virginia University, we are dedicated to providing high-quality service to all members of our Mountaineer family,” said Cris DeBord, vice president of Talent and Culture. “From initial interviews to the end of the hiring process, we want to ensure that all prospective employees feel at home here.”

CandE awards are conducted by the Talent Board, a non-profit research organization committed to improving candidate experience. Award recipients were identified through a comprehensive data analysis, based on scores of satisfaction surveys completed by job candidates. WVU’s CandE score was derived from the survey responses of more than 960 WVU job applicants from July 1, 2018, to June 31, 2019.

Earlier this year, WVU was also redesignated as a 2020 Military Friendly employer, making the CandE the second award given to the University in 2019.
