The annual Clery Report for West Virginia University, reviewing crime on the Morgantown campus, is now available from the Police and Office of Emergency Management.

The report is required by the federal Clery Act and includes WVU campus crime statistics for 2015-2017.

Key areas that saw reductions were robbery, burglary, assaults and alcohol violations. The report noted slight increases in reports of sexual assault and drug arrests.

University Police Chief W.P. Chedester reminds students, faculty and staff to report any suspicious behavior or activity to a professor, supervisor or directly to UPD. The UPD can be reached by phone at 304.293.COPS.

West Virginia University was ranked as one of the top 40 safest campuses in the United States, according to the National Council for Home Safety and Security, and the UPD protects more than 30,000 students and 6,000 employees.
