When a child is hospitalized, what he or she considers “normal” – going to school, participating in extracurricular activities, daily routines – is disrupted. For children who are admitted for extended stays at WVU Medicine Children’s, a new School Intervention Program is available to keep them on track, so they can return to their classrooms without missing a beat.

WVU Medicine Children’s to open new Neurodevelopmental Center

WVU Medicine Children’s announced Monday (May 7) plans to open a Neurodevelopmental Center in late summer to evaluate and treat children with a wide variety of neurodevelopmental disabilities, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, developmental delay, cerebral palsy, neuromuscular disorders, and Tourette Syndrome.
