West Virginia University faculty and staff can invest in the University through the WVU Foundation’s Gold Blue & You Campus Campaign which kicks off Tuesday (April 3).

Through the Campus Campaign, WVU employees can give to programs or funds across the University they feel passionately about, including scholarship funds, specific departments/units, academic programs and special faculty/student support initiatives.

During the 2017 Campaign, more than 1,500 WVU employees gave nearly $1.6 million. These gifts supported education, research, faculty, staff and student experiences.

“WVU faculty and staff support WVU every day,” said Mary Esposito, associate director of the Foundation’s University Fund. “Through the Gold Blue & You Campus Campaign, employees have the opportunity to further support WVU by making a gift to the area on campus that means the most to them.”

Juliane Russell, assistant director of annual giving with the WVU Health Sciences Office of Philanthropy, added, “By making a philanthropic gift to any fund within the University or WVU Hospitals, WVU faculty and staff, WVU Medicine employees and affiliates have an additional opportunity to support the future of the University, the hospital and continue to make a difference for our students, alumni, patients, employees and community.”

Information tables to help kick off this year’s Gold Blue & You Campaign will be staffed Tuesday (April 3) from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on the downtown campus at the Mountainlair and near Cavanaugh’s Café at the Health Sciences Center. Employees can pick up an informational brochure, a flying WV cookie and a Campaign button. Students will have an opportunity to honor a faculty or staff member.

Donations to the Gold Blue & You Campaign can be made through payroll deduction for as little as $3 per paycheck, per fund designation. Contributions may also be made by phone at 304.284.4000 or online at www.goldblueandyou.com. Descriptions of funds and more information on giving can also be found at the Campaign website. All WVU faculty and staff will receive printed materials about the Campaign and further information on how to contribute.
