WVU Foundation’s University Fund sets all-time giving record

Donors to the University Fund, the annual giving program of the West Virginia University Foundation, gave $21.6 million in fiscal year 2017, an all-time high record. The previous record high was $21.4 million donated in fiscal year 2016.

WVU to participate in national study of PhD student outcomes

West Virginia University will be participating as an affiliate partner in a collective effort spearheaded by the Council of Graduate Schools to gather and use data about the careers of Ph.D. students and alumni. The broad-based survey will collect data about Ph.D. careers in both STEM and humanities fields and is funded by the National Science Foundation and the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.

Izzo-Brown sheds light on 2017 season

With preseason nearly complete and two exhibition wins to its name, the No. 1-ranked West Virginia University women’s soccer team can now turn its attention to its season opener, a 4 p.m. match at No. 5 Georgetown on Friday, Aug. 18, at Shaw Field, in Washington, D.C.

Grammy Award-winner Cage the Elephant to headline FallFest 2017

West Virginia University’s annual FallFest concert will be held Tuesday, Aug.15, on the Evansdale Rec Fields adjacent to the Student Rec Center. The show begins at 5 p.m. and will include performances by Cage the Elephant, 21 Savage and RL Grime. Cage the Elephant will close the show. FallFest is free and open to WVU Students only. Students must present their valid WVU Student ID to enter. Gates open at 4 p.m.
