Applications are now being accepted for the fourth round of grants through an enrichment fund established by Women of WVU

The group was established by the WVU Foundation in 2014 to provide women who love West Virginia University another way to become involved using educational activities, networking opportunities and philanthropy.

The Women of WVU Enrichment Fund was created by the group’s leadership council to provide support funding for female students and programs benefiting women at WVU.  Individual grants up to $2,500 and program grants up to $5,000 are available.

Individual grants can be used for costs associated with studying abroad, internships and conferences, but are not limited to these items. Funding is not available for tuition, books or fees.  Program funds can be used for, but not limited to, costs associated with focus groups, surveys or conference travel.

Those interested must submit an application along with a proposal stating the need and purpose for funding, as well as a letter of recommendation. Deadline to apply is April 21. Applicants will be notified no later than June 15 on the status of their application. Grants will run from July 1 through December 31.

The Women of WVU Leadership Council includes Carolyn Blaney, honorary chair; Jo Statler, chair; Joyce Butler Allen, Betty Barrett, Malene Davis, Alison Deem, Laurie Erickson, Denise John, Pamela Maphis Larrick, Alexis Pugh, Sandra Johnson-Purdy, Belinda Rogers, and Lisa Zuccari.
