March Madness is here and the Mountaineers are headed to Buffalo!

West Virginia University alumni, friends and fans are invited to attend a NCAA Tournament Mountaineer Meet and Greet hosted by the WVU Alumni Association at noon on Thursday (March 16) at Cobblestone Bar in Buffalo, New York (130 South Park Ave, Buffalo, NY 14203).

Fans are encouraged to use arena parking. Cobblestone Bar is a four-minute walk to Key Bank Center.  Appearances by the Pride of West Virginia Pep Band, WVU Cheerleaders and Mountaineer are being planned.  No RSVP is required.

Hundreds of WVU alumni, friends and fans are expected to be on hand for the first round game versus the Bucknell Bison which is scheduled to tip off at 2:45 p.m. Thursday (March 16). Should the Mountaineers advance, they will play the winner of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and Princeton Tigers game on Saturday (March 18) (time TBA).  A similar meet and greet is planned three hours prior to tipoff that day if the Mountaineers advance to the third round of the tournament

The Mountaineer Ticket Office has an extremely limited number of tickets available for this first-round matchup.  As a result, it is anticipated that only ticket requests made by Mountaineer Athletic Club members at The Summit, Stadium Suite Holder and Mountaineer Scholar annual giving levels will be fulfilled. All other fans interested in attending the game, including WVU basketball season ticket holders and MAC members, are encouraged to explore other avenues to secure tickets including the NCAATournament Exchange.

For those alumni and fans not traveling to Buffalo, many chapters are hosting game watches in their respective areas. Visit alumni.wvu.edu to find the nearest location.
