WVU Law event to discuss community response to energy transition

WVU College of Law hosts “Leaving No One Behind: Ensuring a Fair Transition for Workers and Communities,” a free public education workshop which will explore how the state’s communities can respond to the world’s transition to new energy sources and technology.

WVU Extension Service to lead community in 'Hour of Code'

WVU Extension Service will help lead the community in the Hour of Code for Computer Science Education Week (Dec. 14 from 1-3 p.m. in White Hall) with Code.org, a global movement that helps students in more than 180 countries. Participating students will have the chance to learn from a variety of technology-based activities.

West Virginia Food Desert Summit to focus on collaboration and community-driven action plan

The WV Food Desert Summit (Dec. 10 at the Bridgeport Conference Center) is the third installment of an ongoing effort to generate collaborative strategies to build on the assets and activities already underway in the region. Recognizing the importance of food access to human health and community well-being, the objective of this convening is to understand how food systems efforts can work together toward the same goals, share resources between key players, and build a community-driven plan of action.
