Statewide tour for WVU president goes to Roane, Calhoun counties

WHAT: West Virginia University President Michael T. Benson will travel to Roane and Calhoun counties as part of his “Welcome Home Tour” of West Virginia.

WHO: President Benson, University alumni and supporters, and local and community leaders

WHEN: Wednesday, April 8

Media members are invited to join President Benson for the following tour stops:

• Jeff Fetty Designs Studio
12:15-1:15 p.m.
22 Chestnut Ridge, Spencer

• Roane County Courthouse and Spencer City Hall
1:30 p.m.
116 Court St., Spencer

• Visit to Calhoun County Park
4:15 p.m.
380 Park Place, Grantsville

NOTES: After the official stops in Roane and Calhoun counties, President Benson will have visited 42 counties since becoming the University’s 27th president last July. His goal is to get to all 55 counties by this summer.

Information about future tour dates will be released as details are finalized.
