WHAT: West Virginia University President Michael T. Benson will return to the Eastern Panhandle on his “Welcome Home Tour” when he travels to Berkeley and Jefferson counties.
WHO: President Benson, University alumni and supporters, and local and community leaders
WHEN: Oct. 26-28
During the visit, President Benson will make stops at historical sites, businesses and a local high school. Media members are invited to join him at the following times and locations:
Monday, Oct. 27
• Tour of WVU Medicine Berkeley Medical Center
2500 Hospital Drive, Martinsburg
8-10 a.m.
• Visit to the Gen. Adam Stephen House
309 E. John St., Martinsburg
4-5:30 p.m.
• WVU Alumni Association reception

5:30-7 p.m.
Tuesday, Oct. 28
• Visit to WVU Extension Jefferson County office at the WVU Davis College of Agriculture and Natural Resources Kearneysville Research, Education and Outreach Center

• Tour of WVU Medicine Jefferson Medical Center

NOTES: Once he makes these stops, President Benson will have visited 32 West Virginia counties in the 14 weeks since he became the University’s 27th president. His goal is to get to all 55 counties by next summer. See more from earlier tour legs.
