WHAT: West Virginia University President Michael T. Benson will visit Raleigh County — the home of WVU Institute of Technology — as part of his inaugural “Welcome Home Tour,” which is taking him to communities across the Mountain State.
WHO: President Benson, WVU Tech President T. Ramon Stuart, University students, alumni and supporters, community leaders
WHEN: Tuesday, Oct. 14
WHERE: Members of the media are invited to join President Benson and President Stuart at the following times and locations.

1:30 p.m.
NOTES: The “Welcome Home Tour” stops in Raleigh County will come a day after President Benson delivers his first State of the University address during the Faculty Senate meeting in Morgantown.
Once he visits Raleigh County, President Benson will have officially traveled to 29 West Virginia counties in the 13 weeks since he became the University’s 27th president. His goal is to get to all 55 counties by next summer.
