WHAT: West Virginia University is welcoming new and returning students home with Welcome Week events. Events will take place across the Morgantown Campus starting Thursday (Aug. 15) and continuing until after the first day of classes, Wednesday, Aug. 21.
WHO: Students will have the opportunity to participate in activities and events that showcase Mountaineer life with academic, social and service elements to help them tap into their strengths, find their purpose and truly make a home on campus.

Thursday, Aug. 15, to Saturday, Aug. 17
• Residence hall move-ins, 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Saturday, Aug. 17
• Welcome Week Cookouts, 6-8 p.m. for all students with meal plans, Mountainlair Green or Evansdale Fields
Sunday, Aug. 18
• Honors College Day of Service, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. for all first-year Honors students, Canady Creative Arts Center, students will dismiss for community service project locations beginning at 10:30 a.m.
• Student Organization Fair, 4:30-6:30 p.m. for all students, Student Rec Center
Monday, Aug. 19
• Monday Night Lights, 6 p.m. for first-year students, Milan Puskar Stadium, with a pre-show tailgate, performance from “The Pride of West Virginia,” the Mountaineer Marching Band, and the official class photo. Watch the pre-show and main event online starting at 7:30 p.m.
*The clear bag policy will be enforced.
Tuesday, Aug. 20
• FoodFest and FallFest, gates open at 5:30 p.m. for all students, Evansdale Fields. WVU Arts and Entertainment will announce the FallFest performers Aug. 16.
