WHAT: The West Virginia University Benjamin M. Statler College of Engineering and Mineral Resources will host the Mountaineer VEX Robotics Competition for the second year in a row, gathering student teams from across the U.S. and Canada to design and build robots to compete and sharpen their engineering skills.
Winning teams will have the opportunity to advance to the VEX Robotics World Championship in Dallas in April.
WHO: More than 70 middle, high school and university-level teams
WHEN: Feb. 16-18
Friday (Feb. 16): University competition, noon to 6 p.m.
Saturday (Feb. 17): High school competition, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Sunday (Feb. 18): Middle school competition, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
WHERE: WVU Student Recreation Center, 2001 Rec Center Drive, Morgantown
