Flu shot on Mountaineer Mascot’s schedule

Ahead of the start of flu season, West Virginia University Mountaineer Mascot Mary Roush is getting her flu shot with other members of the University community.

WHAT: Highlighting the importance of prevention, the Mountaineer Mascot receives her flu shot from a School of Pharmacy student pharmacist.

WHEN: Wednesday, Sept. 28, at noon

WHERE: Cook-Hayman Pharmacy Museum 
                    (Located next to School of Pharmacy Dean’s Office) 
                    First Floor, WVU Health Sciences Center—North, Morgantown

NOTES: The WVU Chapter of the American Pharmacists Association – Academy of Student Pharmacists will have trained students on hand to give flu shots. Following a photo and video opportunity, Dr. Gretchen Garofoli, WVU School of Pharmacy clinical associate professor, will be available for interviews about the flu and flu vaccines.
