WVU to host Ari Fleischer, discussion to include polarization, distrust in media

WHAT: “A Conversation with Ari Fleischer” hosted by the West Virginia University Reed College of Media

WHO: Ari Fleischer, media consultant, author and former White House press secretary under former President George W. Bush, will be interviewed by Ashton Marra, teaching assistant professor in the WVU Reed College of Media and executive editor of 100 Days in Appalachia

WHEN: Monday, Feb. 7, 7:30 p.m.

WHERE: WVU College of Law Fitzsimmons Event Hall, Law School Drive, Morgantown

NOTES: This event is part of the “First Amendment: Year of Reckoning” series presented by the WVU Reed College of Media. Fleischer and Marra will discuss polarization and distrust in media, the First Amendment and public perception of free speech and how media and the political climate have changed in the last 20 years.
