WHO: Underwood Senior Center staff and participants, Cabell County WVU Extension Service faculty and staff, community partners and guests
WHAT: WVU Extension Service is hosting a grand opening to celebrate the newly rebuilt community garden at the Underwood Senior Center.
WHEN: Tuesday (July 16), noon
WHERE: Underwood Senior Center; 630 Ninth Avenue, Huntington
NOTES: Guests also will have the chance to participate in the first planting workshop at the new garden immediately following the celebration.
Healthy snacks and refreshments will be provided by the WVU Extension Service Family Nutrition Program.
Funds for the center’s new garden were provided by the Cabell County Commission. Cabell County WVU Extension Service completed the installation of the garden.
