WVU students plan two days of service in the Morgantown community

WHAT and WHEN: 

WHERE: Various locations in Morgantown

Keeping the PROMISE Day of Service, April 6
Volunteers will meet at the Mountainlair Green at 9 a.m. for:

  • Morgantown United Soccer Club, field prep for Spring Youth season
  • Deckers Creek Trail, cleanup 
  • WVU Core Arboretum, cleanup and maintenance
  • Sundale Nursing Home, resident visits
  • Dorsey’s Knob, mural work 

Big Greek Day of Service, April 13
Fraternity and Sorority volunteers will participate in various service-oriented activities:

  • Milan Puskar Stadium, Walk the Talk with Hoss, multiple events, including 5k training camp
  • Ronald McDonald House, 841 Country Club Drive, outdoor garden work (cancelled if raining)
  • WVU Student Rec Center, 2001 Rec Center Drive, Global Youth Service Day with iBelieve Foundation, meal packing, with distribution in partnership with the Family Resource Network of the United Way of Monongalia and Preston counties
  • American Red Cross, 1299 Pineview Drive, painting, organizing, cleaning 
  • WVU Core Arboretum, Monongahela Boulevard, maintenance and invasive species removal
