WHAT: Ahead of the 2018 Manufacturing Day on October 5, West Virginia University’s LaunchLab Network and the WV Manufacturing Extension Partnership will host their inaugural Manufacturing Day Pitch Competition where participating students will showcase their physical products that can be manufactured. They will each present a five-minute pitch to a panel of judges, followed by another five-minute question and answer period.
The event offers the unique opportunity for attendees to see firsthand how WVU students are creating new, innovative products to help drive the advanced manufacturing industry forward in West Virginia and beyond.
The judging panel will include Executive Director of TechConnectWV, Anne Barth; Director of Asset Development at the WVU Innovation Corporation, David Satterfield; and Associate Director of Mining Extension at the WVU Mining and Industrial Extension, Josh Brady.
