Beginning May 6, West Virginia University’s PRT will be closed for passenger service to continue with automatic train control modernization and to perform other maintenance activities. It is anticipated that normal operations will resume Monday, Aug. 7.

Two WVU commencement venues—the Creative Arts Center and the Coliseum— will have shuttle service surrounding short-term parking lots on the Evansdale Campus, including lots 1, 4 and 9.

Mountain Line bus service will also be available during WVU commencement activities May 12-14.

WVU shuttle service will be in operation starting the week of May 15. The WVU shuttle service will operate Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Departure locations will be from Beechurst bus stop and Mountaineer Station. Stops in between will include Towers and Evansdale Crossing. Walnut station passengers will need to use the Beechurst location for bus service. This is a free service for WVU students, faculty and staff.

In addition, the Mountain Line “Blue and Gold Connector” route will operate Monday through Friday from 6:40 a.m. to 6:20 p.m. with limited service on Saturdays and Sundays. This route will include Towers, Oakland, the College of Law, Grant Avenue, Beechurst and Evansdale Crossing. WVU students and employees may ride the Mountain Line bus for free with a valid WVU ID.
