Gift from former WVU economist means real life experience for students, much needed ‘economic literacy’ for West Virginia

The former chief economist at West Virginia University knows all too well how important economic research and data are to the John Chambers College of Business and Economics, the university and the state. For nearly three decades, Tom S. Witt headed the WVU Bureau of Business and Economic Research and helped provide economic research that was used by lawmakers, business leaders and media throughout the state and nation.

WVU now part of consortium for increased opportunities in international business education and research

West Virginia University has joined forces with two other notable universities to open the door to new resources in international business education and research. The Robbins Center for Global Business and Strategy, which is housed in the WVU College of Business and Economics, is now part of an international regional business consortium with George Washington University, and is included in its Center for International Business Education and Research.
