West Virginia University alumni and friends are invited to come together on March 20 in support of the seventh WVU Day of Giving, an annual fundraising effort organized by the WVU Foundation.

Established in honor of her legacy of service to West Virginia, the Hazel Ruby McQuain Graduate Scholarship, administered by the West Virginia University Office of Graduate Education and Life, provides $20,000 annually to outstanding graduate students from any accredited higher education institution within the United States.

A first in-human study at the WVU Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute demonstrates the benefits of combining focused ultrasound with antibody treatment to reduce brain amyloid plaques in patients with Alzheimer’s disease. The study is featured in the latest issue of the New England Journal of Medicine.

Resilient and fueled by passion and purpose, nearly 2,700 West Virginia University graduates are ready for the next chapters in their lives following two Commencement ceremonies Saturday (Dec. 16) at the Coliseum.

Ten students with a shared goal of improving the Mountain State have been awarded the Hazel Ruby McQuain Graduate Scholarship to help them continue graduate study in their chosen fields.

A $4 million gift to West Virginia University from Antero Resources and Antero Midstream is expanding educational opportunities at the Benjamin M. Statler College of Engineering and Mineral Resources to help prepare future petroleum and natural gas engineers.
