West Virginia University will be hosting the annual meeting of Environmental, Health and Safety Directors from the Big 12 Conference schools May 1-3. Directors will be discussing emerging regulations such as new OSHA and EPA regulatory standards as well as EH&S best practices from each university.

This annual conference is hosted each year by a different institution. The event will provide an opportunity for first time visitors to learn more about environmental health and safety procedures at WVU and tour the campus and Morgantown area.

The meeting will kick-off with a welcome by Facilities and Services Sr. Associate Vice President, Randy Hudak at the Erickson Alumni Center. WVU President Gordon Gee will also have the opportunity to address and interact with group members.

Attendees will be traveling to Dolls Run, WV to visit the WVU Academy of Mine Training and Energy Technologies. This underground coal mine facility is used for training such as fire brigade and mine rescue teams.

Other activities include a tour of the WVU campus as well as a ride on the unique Personal Rapid Transit (PRT) System.
