Anjali Halabe has been named West Virginia University’s assistant vice president for finance, becoming second in command in the University’s Finance Division and reporting to Senior Associate Vice President for Finance Dan Durbin. In addition, she will serve as assistant treasurer of the WVU Research Corp.

“We are quite fortunate to have someone with Anjali’s abilities and dedication on our team at WVU,” Durbin said. “We are looking forward to her contributions at this new role to help elevate both the Division and the University to higher levels of financial management.”

Halabe has been serving as executive director for institutional accounting, reporting and analysis. As assistant vice president, she will continue in those areas while adding oversight of select university-wide service organizations and decision support functions.

Halabe has served in various leadership roles in the Finance Division since her initial employment at WVU in 2000. She is a licensed Certified Public Accountant with a significant amount of experience in financial statement preparation and analysis, risk assessment and the design and implementation of internal accounting control systems and processes. Halabe also has extensive experience in the banking industry and holds master degrees from both WVU and the University of Massachusetts
