West Virginia University’s Mountaineer Idol Gives Back campaign has once again partnered with Jessi’s Pals, an initiative to collect new stuffed animals for the patients of WVU Medicine Children’s.

The campaign organizers will collect donations during WVU’s annual homecoming parade. The parade will proceed down High Street and is scheduled for Friday, Sept. 30 at 6:30p.m.

The organizers will participate in the parade while holding a large banner labeled, “Mountaineer Idol Gives Back.” Consider bringing all donations in plastic bags in the case of inclement weather.

In partnership with Fall Family Weekend, the Mountaineer Idol Gives Back show will be held on Oct. 8 at 8 p.m. in the Mountainlair Ballrooms where donations will also be accepted.

The event is free and open to the public. Everyone is asked to bring a new stuffed animal to the show in addition to empty Coca-Cola products. Coca-Cola has agreed to donate $5 to Jessi’s Pals for every empty Coke product, bottle or can.
