Learn how to ensure your farm’s assets are secured for the next generation by attending a West Virginia University Extension Service class Tuesday, Feb. 9 in Moorefield.

The Enhancing Management to Secure the Future of Your Farm: Successful Generational Transfer meeting starts at 10 a.m. and runs through 3:30 p.m. that day. The meeting is free.

According to organizers, generational planning is a difficult task that requires a multi-step management plan. A variety of subject matter experts will address the basics of the complex issue and take questions from those in attendance.

On hand will be presenters with expertise in accounting, finance, insurance, business planning, record-keeping, risk management, estate planning and more.

Locally-sourced refreshments are provided. Food will be prepared and presented by students in the East Hardy High School Pro Start Program. Lunch will be provided by South Branch BBQ.
