'Gee Mail' hits the road: President Gee ambushes students, plays roving reporter at Mountainlair

West Virginia University President Gordon Gee has turned the tables on us in his latest episode of “Gee Mail.”

Instead of answering questions from the University community, he’s the one asking the questions.

Armed with a microphone and a camera crew, Gee spent a November afternoon strolling through the Mountainlair surprising students with questions ranging from ‘Who am I?’ to ‘What do you like most about West Virginia University?’

Laughs, hugs, selfies and high-fives emerged. And the president learned quite a bit about the students he serves.

In August, Gee introduced a regular video segment, “Gee Mail,” in which he responds to questions and comments submitted via email, Facebook and Twitter using the hashtag #GeeMail. Follow him on Twitter @gordongee.
