From graduation to gardening, West Virginia University Extension Service experts will provide their advice to participants’ specific questions during a new, weekly, one-hour question and answer session through their Facebook page.

The sessions, called “Ask the WVU Extension Expert,” will take place on Wednesdays from noon to 1 p.m. A panel of WVU Extension faculty members will provide users with trusted, research-based information regarding a specific topic.

Graduating seniors and parents alike can benefit from and participate in the Graduation and Stress segment on Wednesday (April 23). Three panelists will be able to answer questions on everything from stress surrounding graduation, to tips for finding that first job out of college.

Jane Riffe is a licensed social worker who serves as a Families and Health specialist for WVU Extension. Eric Murphy is the Monongalia County WVU Extension Service Families and Health agent and is a board-certified counselor. Kim Suder is the director of WVU Extension Service’s Human Resources Department.

On April 30, the expert panel will be led by WVU Extension Service Agriculture and Natural Resources Director Jennifer Williams. Panelists will cover everything from basic soil questions to selecting the best plants to grow in their area.

The weekly sessions will continue in May with topics about outdoor cooking, gardening, helping children have a successful summer camping experience and more.
