So you’ve probably spent the last four years of your life in high school studying a certain way.

Perhaps you spent your time in class on your phone. Maybe you used study hall to sleep. Maybe you didn’t even need to study at all. You’re probably not the only one if you asked around.

At West Virginia University, things will probably be a bit different from what you’re used to. You’re not at school for eight straight hours anymore. You’re there 24/7 (and in class for just a few hours each day). You have much more responsibility to study for your exams and pass your classes.

We’ve asked some of our best and brightest students – the ones who have earned prestigious honors or scholarships while they’ve been on campus – to give us a few tips to help you make it through your first semester and keep up your grades.
